Praise Him!

God is good!  He has provided so much opportunity, I am meeting myself coming back!

We have resumed meetings at the detention center after my trip.  It is exciting to see the enthusiasm for the things of the Lord among the women.  I would encourage you, if you have never done this, to pray about whether God might use you in jail ministry.

I still remember the first time I went, after a missions trip on which we toured a detention facility that was inspiring real change in the inmates.  Yes, they had some different challenges, and some of them had experienced real hardship, even from childhood.  But they all needed Jesus, just like me.  It has been wonderful joy to be there while they pray to receive Jesus, or recognize that God has a greater purpose in their incarceration because they, as believers, strayed away from Him and into trouble.  On occasion, it is my great privilege to watch the spark inside being fanned into flame.  And yes, there are those who cycle in and out who are still trying to overcome.  I hope we will be seeing more and more progress with some new things we are planning to implement soon.  Please pray for us, and for more workers to share in the work as well as the blessings.

May God bless each of you as you pursue Him and the areas of service He leads each of you into.
